Challenge
A mid-size financial services company was operating on a 15-year-old monolithic .NET Framework system processing millions of daily transactions. Deployment cycles were 8 weeks, and scaling required manual server provisioning.
Solution
Implemented the SocketCanada Strangler Fig methodology to decompose the monolith into domain-aligned microservices over 18 months. Each service was containerized, deployed to Azure Kubernetes Service, and integrated through Azure Service Bus for event-driven communication.
